Friday was Framapalooza! Chris ran us through a whole heck of a lot of examples and the promised pattern emerged – frameworks are really nothing more than well constructed lists laid our in visual ways. In order to be most effective those visual frameworks require a few key ingredients.
A strong visual framework…
- … narrows and focuses our attention.
- … organizes and guides our thinking.
- … suggests or implies possible strategies.
- … enables easy communication and understanding.
- … puts insights into context, often by tying them to tangible things.
