It felt great to be back in the Butter dish with y’all! We spent a good amount of time catching up, welcoming new member Anthena, and sharing some post-holiday/year-end reflections. Then we did what we do best – we smashed a curiosity brainstorm!

    Replay is below.

And you can peep the Miro board here to get the flavor of the conversation, and add your own thoughts if you’re so moved.

I have to get my muscle memory back for taking notes to inform the round-up. It’s far too easy to get sucked into the discussion and forget to write down all the amazing insights you share! But here’s a few random highlights from our rich conversation.

    • Power as many, power as one. Being in community, in right relationship with people, builds shared power. When we come together, especially across difference, we can accomplish amazing things. Standing in our own personal power, and values, is also important and impactful. We need both.
    • Connecting across difference. “What the world needs now!” We stand divided in fundamental ways that are impeding our ability to effect radical change. How do we forge a different path? Grace recommended the book, “Calling In: How to Start Making Change with Those You’d Rather Cancel” by Loretta Ross.
    • An epidemic of uncertainty. Chris posed the question, “do we have an epidemic of not wanting to move forward unless the outcome is certain?” The general consensus was, probably and folks wondered if a renewed effort to teach/coach folks on the value of experimentation could be part of the remedy.
